The webcast (podcast) is a form of short (usually a few minutes long), electronic content published on the Internet for asynchronous self-directed learning. Within webcasts there are videocasts (content based on video broadcasting – usually in the form of an expert’s statements on a subject) and audiocasts (content based on audio broadcasting – usually in the form of mp3 recordings that can be listened to on a computer or digital audio player).
