Virtual agent

The virtual agent is a mechanism allowing for communication with an information base using natural human communication processes ( such as voice questions, hand-written language). Such communication is held by an avatar, a visual representation of a person in the form of animated pictures or films, who answers a given question using information from a data base. Data bases becoming more and more effective, very often able to learn on their own, gain the right to be named artificial intelligence systems.

Worth to know

  • With the development of artificial intelligence and its generative capabilities, we have increasingly better opportunities to create realistic virtual agents.

  • Agents provide information, act as a helpdesk, and respond to repetitive questions. The more they communicate with the person asking, the more perfect they become and the faster they learn.

  • A virtual agent could serve as a dedicated guide for training, offering continuous support to learners throughout their educational journey and remaining accessible at all times (e.g., via the platform's menu).

  • A virtual agent serves as a powerful tool for tailoring training experiences, seamlessly integrating training recommendations and activity suggestions to enhance personalization.
